Thank You for Riding with Us on Bike Anywhere Day!

Thank you to everyone who participated in SANDAG Bike Anywhere Day 2025! From Oceanside to
Tijuana, more people joined the celebration than in previous years. We recorded more than 10,000 pit
stop visits, marking an 11% increase from last year and the highest turnout since the COVID-19 pandemic.

We hope you enjoyed a great ride, made some memories, and are inspired to keep riding. We’re grateful
for your enthusiasm and support in helping make this year’s event a success.

Still need a t-shirt? If you registered and participated in the event but didn’t get a Bike Anywhere Day
t-shirt, stop by the SANDAG main office on Friday, May 23, from noon to 3 p.m. at 1011 Union Street,
Suite 400, San Diego, California 92101.

Now, we want to hear from you! Take a quick survey by Friday, May 30, to help us make future Bike

May Is National Bike Month

During National Bike Month, people from coast to coast celebrate the benefits of

biking. At SANDAG, we celebrate Bike Month to encourage active transportation

for everyone from bike enthusiasts to people who are new to biking. Riding a bike

is a fun, sustainable, and healthy way to get around. It also alleviates traffic and

reduces air pollution.

At SANDAG, we are dedicated to providing options for how people travel around

the San Diego region, including biking, walking, riding transit, and sharing the ride.

With more than 1,800 miles of bikeways in the region, biking is a vital factor in

our transportation network. It alleviates traffic, reduces air pollution, and improves

individual health.

SANDAG Bike Anywhere Day

Bike Anywhere Day (formerly Bike to Work Day) is a free, annual event that SAND

AG has hosted in the San Diego region for more than 30 years. It is an opportunity for everyone to ride to work, school, the beach, or anywhere.

Thank you to the thousands of Bike Anywhere Day 2025

participants who pedaled across the San Diego region to

more than 100 pit stops on Thursday, May 15!

From Oceanside to Tijuana, pit stops provided a free commemorative t-shirt,

snacks, refreshments, and fun to participating commuters, hybrid workers,

students, families, and more.
