GP Vista, BikePath, Oceanside, train back or ride home
Ride Date: Wednesday, May 21st, 2025
Group: wednesday
Distance: 23.7 mi
Elevation: 475 ft
Start: Grand Plaza Las Posas - Boudin SF at 8:30 AM
Originally as I have been doing on the shorter Wednesday rides, would start in Bonsall to get in more miles.
As this is a one way route from San Marcos to Oceanside, decide to start from the finish. Thus the third section of my route slip is void.
The middle section is my lunch stop, a Korean ayce barbecue.
Then recall the route goes by Vista Fence as I dropped the gate control in the pond making it useless, would stop in to see if they can provide a replacement. Which was told our gate opener is ancient. On my ride there have two flats. Good thing wrote that, need to refill my back pack with a couple tubes.

The unpaved path through Guajome Park was interesting, actually first time in the park.
Parked in lot near harbor. Cannon, Faraday, El Camino, Gateway, Palomar Airport, Business Park, Poinsettia, Linda Vista. Put in my climbing as the ride is downward / flat.
The restroom at the park was closed, return up Linda Vista to Sunset Park, a nicer stop.
After the ride, new to me, has a bike route sign, goes through an opening into a shopping center parking lot.
Have not been on this Vista Way since my time with NCCC and I devised a Cenury route consisting of four loops, this being my first. Did not realize how hilly,
Did not find my restaurant as didn't see Chilis. So I continued to the fence company.
Fixing my second flat decide to take Santa Fe down even though I just did this with the club ride. reason, need to use the park's restroom again. Then on to Golden Corral.
My drive to Oceanside expected traffic, takes 45 minutes. My return is half hour longer. In my earlier time, on a bicycle could have beat that.
